Céret, just 12 km from the Spanish border, is famous for being the birthplace of Cubism and the “cherry capital”. This charming medieval village is home to the Musée d'art Moderne. The visit offers modern art, a picturesque walk through vineyards and farms, and the first cherries of spring.

Aix en Provence has a privileged climate, and dazzles with its elegance in its lively streets and squares. We will stroll through the historic center with its seventeenth- and eighteenth-century buildings, squares with fountains, bookstores, stores and various businesses. We will discover the Town Hall, museums and large mansions, now housing the University and research centers.

St-Tropez, former Mecca of the Parisian elite, offers charming outdoor cafés and breathtaking views of the sea. Stroll downtown, enjoy a refreshing pastis in the Place des Lices and play petanque like a local. Discover the charm and history of this iconic seaside town.

Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, is a port city on the west coast of the island. This is where Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769. Visit the Maison Bonaparte, now a museum with family memorabilia, and the cathedral of Notre-Dame, a 16th-century Baroque building that houses works by Delacroix and Tintoretto.

If you are a cheese lover, I recommend a visit to Finca Subaida in Mahón, an outstanding cheese factory where you will learn about the process of making Mahonés cheese (POD), emblematic of Balearic gastronomy. Enjoy an aperitif on the terrace, sampling cheese, cured meats and local wines. It is a perfect experience for lovers of good food and regional artisanal products.
